Pepsi

So originally I was going to this post on my photography but I thought why not do all of my dogs for each blog. So this week I am doing Pepsi.

Pepsi is my first dog, even though my house has always had dogs. Pepsi was mine, he is an 8 year old shitzu. He is the most spoiled and grumpy dog I have ever met but he's my baby!

I have had him for a very long time and I can still remember the first day he came home. The first day I had him or I should say night, his name was Romeo, that was the name he was given at birth. However, I wanted to change it, it took me ages to think of a name and me being an 8 year old girl thought of 'Snowball' and 'Snowflake'. I was so set on those two names but my family, of course, had different ideas for his name. The name 'Pepsi' came about because my dad was obsessed with the drink Pepsi, he would have a least one or two everyday (which he no longer does cause he figured out the hard was it was bad for his health). Anyway, all of my family said we should name him Pepsi because he has black and white fur. Now let me explain to you my families reasoning for this, the white fur represented the fizz on top of the drink when you just pour it out and the black represents the drink itself. Pepsi has way more white than black fur so I don't know how their logic works but it stuck. I basically had no say in his name even though he was my dog... lol.

I think the one thing that makes pepsi stand out from my other dogs is that he is the loudest snorer ever! On the flip side though, I am a heavy sleeper so I'm not woken up by it, whereas both my parents can't stand it, haha. I love cuddling with him so much even though he hates it, I make him cuddle anyway... or keep him captive, one and the same.

Anyway this is Pepsi, my 'first born' and I love him to death! Enjoy the pics!

Bailey

The story of how I got Bailey, my youngest dog. I am actually surprised I remembered how I first saw her and how I got her, because I have the worst memory ever!

Anyway, I was a normal Saturday in Cayman, blazing hot. I was in west bay with my mom and one of her friends, and I saw this tiny little white fluff ball for a dog. As usual I screamed and was all over her, but that's when I saw she was crawling with flees, the poor thing was the size of my hand and was being attacked by flees and ticks. I hate seeing any animal in that type of situation, so I went to the owner of the house she was at and asked who's she was. He said that it was his sons dog but at the time he was in jail so he was taking care of her. So I asked if it was okay I could take her and get her cleaned up because I was concerned about her health. He agreed, but along with Bailey there was another dog chained up on a tree in the yard, he was just a few days away from dying of starvation. So we asked to take him too, and he also agreed to that.
(When Bailey was still at the Humane Society)
We gathered both dogs and funny enough my moms friend had flee spray, so we sprayed both of them down before getting them in the car. I held Bailey in my hands wrapped in a towel, and the other puppy, Lucky, was in the seat next to me. We took both of them to the Humane Society because we couldn't take them ourselves. We couldn't take them because my house already had two dogs and I couldn't risk contaminating them with anything Bailey and Lucky had. Anyway we took them to the shelter and they accepted them. I told the lady to make sure no one takes the little white fluffy one, she chuckled and said okay. I went back the next week to ask about both dogs, the report was Bailey had ringworm so she had to stay in the shelter for six weeks! While Lucky was fine except he was starved and the lady told us if we didn't bring him in that day it was unlikely he would survive. I was relieved that both dogs were being taken care of and getting better. For the next six weeks I went to the Humane Society as much as I could, I visited both dogs when I went.
First day!
Although I wanted to take both of them home with me, I couldn't. So I had to choose and my mom said that we are not getting another big dog, and even thought lucky was 20 pounds he was only a few months old and they said he would get bigger. Whereas Bailey was tiny at only a couple months, they said she wouldn't get much bigger and I loved her so much. So six weeks later I went home with the most gorgeous dog ever!

The sad part was that the time she spent in the shelter was the exact time she needed to associate with other dogs and humans. So now she is very timid around new people but she has improved a lot in a year. I wouldn't trade her for anything!

Down to this day she would do anything for me and vice versa, and I think she is the only dog who really listens to me, lol.
First day home
After a couple of weeks at her new home.

About This Blog

So I started this blog for school, my english teacher thought it was a great idea for all her students to create a unique blog, even though there is no such thing anymore. Anything you can think of, there is a blog for it. She gave us all out own choice as to what it would be about, and as you can see my choice was photography and my dogs. These are two to things I love the most! I really want to go into a career about photography which is why I choice that and my dogs and probably the weirdest most troublemaking mutts you can think of. All three of them are very original and crazy, and I love every single one of them.

Just to tell you a little about my puppies (who aren't even puppies). Pepsi, is 8 years old Shih Tzu
and he is the most grumpiest dog ever! However he is my 'first born' and I love him to death.

My next dog is Turbo, who is a Cayman Mutt mix, he is about 4-5 years and the only reason I don't know his exact age is because we rescued him from the Humane Society and they didn't know his age, they guessed around 2 and we have had him for 2 years now so I am guessing around 4 or 5.

My last and most troubling dog is Bailey who is also a Cayman Mutt mix, she is almost 2 years old and she cause more trouble in one day than a 4 year old cause in a whole year, but I still love her.

Here are two pictures from one of my latest shoots that I did with Rebecca Davidson (who is the most amazing photographer in my opinion). More information to come!
